I've only had these shoes for a little more than a month now, but I thought I would at least give my initial impressions.

Some background info on me first..I am a novice lifter, who has been lifting consistently for the last 5 or 6 months. I use to lift in high school and a little in college, and I stopped completely during my first year of grad school, and now I'm back to training again. I'm not doing any strict form of olympic lifting or anything like that. My main lifts are generally all compound lifts that include bench press, overhead press, back squats, and deadlifts. Occasionally I will do front squats, cleans, and other supplementary/accessory exercises.

With all that being said, I mainly bought these to help me be more stable during squats. I squat high bar, and I use to squat barefoot. Doing this, however, I noticed that I sometimes had trouble staying on my heels or I would sometimes feel off center/not very balanced, so I decided to look into weightlifting shoes.

It took me a little while to get use to them as they did feel a little stiff in the beginning, but now I use them for my whole workout, and I have to say that my feet literally feel glued to the floor when I'm doing squats. There are no more balance issues, and I'm able to more effectively push through my heels and maintain a more upright position, and even though I had to deload initially after first trying them (while getting use to wearing them), I'm now squatting more than I ever have before.

Other things that I think are worth mentioning are that the shoes shipped really fast. They did feel a little stiff in the beginning, but now they are super comfortable. The two velcro straps and laces really help me get a snug and tight fit. And I also think the shoes look great being in all black, and the heel feels great too. I was debating getting some other brands before taking the dive on these, but I have absolutely no regrets, especially being a novice lifter I think these are absolutely worth the price for anyone just getting into the sport. Hopefully, someone with some oly weightlifting experience can chime in soon, but they work well for the exercises I do, and they support and help with the stability that I was looking for.

And for sizing, I normally wear a size 13 in all of my other shoes (Vans, Merrell, sandals, dress shoes), so I went with a size 13 in these, and they fit great. It leaves me with a little wiggle room, but they can get really snug once everything is tied and strapped down, and my foot does not move around in the shoe at all once everything is secure.

Good product, would highly recommend. Will update this review down the line.
